Wireless Logic Acquires Comms365 to Boost IoT Services

Wireless Logic, a global provider of Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity, has acquired the United Kingdom based specialist firm Comms365. The acquisition was announced to expand Wireless Logic’s technical capabilities and market presence within the UK, a key regional market for IoT and managed network services.

The agreement brings together two established companies in the managed connectivity sector. Comms365 will continue to operate as a standalone business entity for the foreseeable future. There will be no immediate changes to existing customer contracts, partner agreements, or daily operational procedures as a result of the deal.

Leadership Transition and Company Background

Following a planned handover period, Comms365 co founder and Chief Executive Officer Mike van Bunnens will exit the company he helped establish. Industry veteran John Whitty has been appointed as the new CEO of Comms365. The company’s other co founder and Chief Technology Officer, Shaun Nicholls, will remain in his current role, ensuring technical continuity.

Comms365 was founded in 2008 and has built a reputation for providing advanced connectivity solutions. The company’s portfolio includes services across cellular, fixed line, satellite, and bonded networks. Its core offerings span IoT connectivity, Software Defined Wide Area Networking (SD WAN), secure managed networking, and high availability internet services, all supported by its own resilient core network infrastructure.

Strategic Rationale and Executive Reactions

The acquisition is designed to combine the strengths of both organizations. For Wireless Logic, the deal significantly enhances its UK specific engineering and service capabilities. For Comms365, it provides access to a broader portfolio of products and technologies, including satellite services, and the resources to scale its operations while maintaining its customer centric delivery model.

Incoming CEO John Whitty described the acquisition as an important and exciting next step for Comms365. He stated that it allows the company to continue delivering reliable, technically advanced solutions while gaining the support to remain agile and incorporate the latest technologies. Whitty expressed his intention to lead the business into its next growth phase in collaboration with the Wireless Logic team.

Mike van Bunnens remarked that the acquisition reflects the strength of the company built over 18 years. He highlighted the achievement of creating a solid, reliable, and well respected business, crediting a loyal customer base and a dedicated team focused on solving client challenges.

Cyril Deschanel, the Group Managing Director for Europe and UK at Wireless Logic, stated that the agreement reinforces his company’s long term commitment to the UK market. He expressed pleasure in welcoming the Comms365 team and supporting their continued growth trajectory.

Market Position and Future Outlook

Wireless Logic currently connects more than 18 million devices globally across 165 countries. The company maintains partnerships with over 50 mobile and satellite network operators. The integration of Comms365 is expected to strengthen Wireless Logic’s proposition for UK organizations requiring high availability, multi network IoT, and enterprise grade connectivity solutions.

The immediate focus for both companies is on a smooth operational integration and handover of leadership responsibilities. The existing management and technical teams at Comms365 are expected to remain in place to ensure service stability. Looking ahead, the combined entity is likely to focus on leveraging shared technologies and networks to develop enhanced connectivity offerings for the UK and European markets, capitalizing on the growing demand for robust IoT and enterprise networking solutions.
